WOMEN OF THE BIBLE I: EVE

Hey everyone!
I have been very busy taking care of my baby, and feel tired most of the time. So much that I can’t afford the luxury of sewing or working on any major project. However, by next year January, she will be six months old and I will stop exclusive breastfeeding. Then I will start sewing again and sharing all my work. I am currently working on a sew-along Facebook group, and Instagram page; work will resume fully next year.

One thing I have time for though is my Bible. I started reading the Bible from Genesis sometime in 2015 and finished it this year August, but I felt it was rushed, so I decided to start all over again. This time, my aim is not simply to read through to the end, but to fully understand and digest everything therein with the help of the Holy Spirit. As I read, I am taking notes on women of the Bible. Let me share with you two things I’ve learnt from the first woman in the Bible, Eve.
  1.  She was created to be a help to the man- Genesis 2:18-25. As married women or about to be married women, we must not forget that God’s original plan for us is to be a help to our spouses. To support them and to stand by them. I read a book; Created to be his help meet by Debi Pearl that helps analyse how to fully work in God’s purpose for me as a woman.
  2. Eve was carried away and allowed herself to fall into temptation- Genesis 3:1-24. Temptation in itself is not a sin, but falling into temptation is a sin. I have learnt to always be careful to obey every word of God, and to constantly pray for the Holy Spirit to order my steps aright.

Our ultimate goal in life should be to please God, and live a life worth emulating. I have heard someone say “let your life be the Bible that people read”. May the grace of God be with us. God bless you!

P.S
This is my beautiful daughter!
